Itinerary

  • ▪️ Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City. Sometimes referred to as Saigon, we begin our adventure in the largest and arguably most thrilling city in Vietnam. Saigon is an eclectic blend of the traditional and the modern, where pagodas and markets stand alongside the signs of Vietnam’s burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit.

    ▪️ For those arriving on time, our Leader plans to meet you at the hotel reception at 6:00 PM for a welcome meeting, followed by an optional dinner for those interested. No other activities are scheduled for today, so you are free to arrive in Ho Chi Minh at any time.

    ▪️ If you miss the welcome meeting, your Leader will provide all the essential information when you join the group. If your flight arrives earlier in the day, you may wish to explore the Reunification Palace. There is a wide selection of restaurants within walking distance of our centrally located hotel.

  • ▪️ After breakfast, the family adventure continues with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, a historical site showcasing Vietnam’s resilience and creativity. While adults and older children can explore a section of the tunnels, younger kids can enjoy interactive exhibits and open spaces above ground that depict life in the tunnels in a more accessible way. Transportation to and from Cu Chi will be shared with other visitors.

    ▪️ This afternoon, discover the hidden charm of Ho Chi Minh City with a leisurely walk through the alleys of Old Saigon. This activity is perfect for families, with plenty to see and enjoy along the way, from colorful market stalls to unique street scenes.

    ▪️ Stop at a local café to experience traditional Vietnamese coffee, while kids can try sweet treats or fresh juices. Everyone will enjoy sampling Banh Mi, the Vietnamese baguette sandwich, freshly baked and filled with a mix of delicious flavors.

    ▪️ The walk concludes at the "Secret Weapons Bunker", a fascinating site that offers a glimpse into the city’s history. With its unique displays and stories, it’s an engaging experience for both adults and children.

    Cu Chi Tunnels

  • ▪️ Breakfast at the hotel. Leaving the city behind, we journey south to the Mekong Delta and board a boat to the starting point of our family-friendly cycling tour. Pedal as a family for approximately 10-12 km along the shaded paths of Cai Thai village, enjoying picturesque views of the delta’s many waterways. The route is well-suited for all ages, with frequent stops and the option for the boat to pick up riders who prefer to rest.

    ▪️ Along the way, visit Ms. Nani’s home, where she demonstrates the traditional art of making rice paper - a fascinating and interactive experience for children. We’ll also stop at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chin, where the family can enjoy refreshing drinks and their famous 'Banh Tieu' (a traditional Vietnamese donut) that’s sure to delight kids and adults alike.

    ▪️ After the ride, return to the boat for a delicious onboard lunch. Cruise along the delta, taking time to explore small floating markets, a unique highlight of the Mekong. The entire family will enjoy the sights and sounds of this bustling waterway, surrounded by vibrant villages, lush rice paddies, and mangrove swamps.

    ▪️ Continue your journey to Can Tho, where you’ll settle in for the evening.

    Mekong Delta

  • ▪️ Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we visit one of the most colorful attractions of the Mekong Delta - the floating markets. Our first stop is the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest in the delta.

    ▪️ Spend time paddling through the market, where the whole family will enjoy the lively atmosphere and friendly interactions with local vendors. Along the way, there’s often a chance to hop onto a local boat to meet the traders and maybe even purchase a fresh pineapple straight from their boat—a fun and memorable experience for kids and adults alike.

    ▪️ Continuing the journey, we visit the Binh Thuy Ancient House, a stunning property that blends classic architecture with influences from French, Chinese, and Vietnamese artisans. Dating back to the late 19th century, the house is filled with fascinating antiques and memorabilia, offering a unique opportunity for families to step back in time and explore the region’s rich history.

    ▪️ After the visit, we drive to Chau Doc, a charming border town between Vietnam and Cambodia. Here, we take a boat ride to the Chau Giang Fish Farm, where families can learn about fish farming in floating cages beneath stilted houses - a great educational stop for children. There’s also time to explore the Cham Village, providing a glimpse into the unique culture and traditions of this community.

  • ▪️ Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, we head to the pier in Chau Doc to board a speedboat for a scenic journey upstream to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The four-and-a-half-hour river journey along the Hau Giang River offers stunning views of the Mekong region’s landscapes and life along the waterways.

    ▪️ Situated on the Mekong River, Phnom Penh has been Cambodia’s capital since the 1440s. Today, it is a vibrant city filled with French colonial buildings, bustling markets, art galleries, temples, and museums.

    ▪️ This evening, enjoy a delightful family dinner at a local restaurant in Phnom Penh (included).

  • ▪️ Breakfast at the hotel. Our first morning in Cambodia begins with a visit to a bustling local market to purchase fresh ingredients, which the group will use to prepare a traditional Khmer meal at the renowned La Rose Restaurant, one of the finest establishments for Khmer cuisine in the region. This hands-on activity is a wonderful opportunity for families to bond and learn about Cambodian culinary traditions.

    ▪️ Next, we visit a local school where families can engage with local children. This interactive experience includes opportunities to learn a bit of the Khmer language, share basic English skills, and even organize activities such as a friendly soccer game or a traditional Cambodian board game. It’s an enriching experience for both visiting and local children.

    ▪️ Tonight, we continue to explore Phnom Penh, Cambodia's historic capital, located at the confluence of the Sap, Mekong, and Bassac Rivers. A city rich in history and culture, Phnom Penh offers a mix of ancient and colonial influences. Highlights include the grandeur of the Royal Palace and National Museum, as well as the sobering reminder of the country's past at the Choeung Ek Killing Fields, providing a reflective yet educational experience for the whole family.

While the temples are the main attraction, the city of Siem Reap itself is well worth exploring. Once a small village rediscovered by the French in the 19th century, Siem Reap has grown to cater to travelers of all ages and budgets.

    ▪️ An evening stroll through its grid-like streets reveals a vibrant food scene, offering something for everyone—from family-friendly restaurants to bustling street food stalls. Parents can unwind with a traditional Khmer massage at one of the local spas, while children might enjoy exploring the lively Night Market, a great spot to shop for souvenirs and practice bargaining skills.

    ▪️ For families seeking more excitement, Pub Street offers a neon-lit hub of street performers, eateries, and bustling crowds. While it may not appeal to everyone, it’s a great place to soak in the dynamic atmosphere of Siem Reap.

  • ▪️ Following in the footsteps of adventure, we explore the iconic temples of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap today, spanning a remarkable 600 years of history from the 9th to the 15th century.

    ▪️ Traveling by local tuk-tuk, we visit two of the most famous temple sites: Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat. The fortified city of Angkor Thom, constructed in the late 12th century, was once a formidable sight with its towering eight-meter walls, grand gates, and a crocodile-filled moat that protected the city.

  • ▪️ Saying farewell to Siem Reap and Cambodia, we enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the airport for a short flight to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

    ▪️ This afternoon, you’ll have the option to choose from several exciting excursions to explore this fascinating city. A highlight of Bangkok is the Grand Palace, a stunning cultural landmark built in 1782. Once home to the Thai royal family for over 150 years, the palace is renowned for its intricate carvings, golden architecture, and breathtaking works of art. The complex also houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, one of Thailand’s most sacred temples. Nearby is Wat Pho, the 'Temple of the Reclining Buddha,' featuring an enormous golden Buddha stretching 46 meters long—a must-see for families interested in Thai culture.

    ▪️ Another popular option is exploring Bangkok’s Klongs, the city’s narrow canals, by longtail boat or water taxi. This activity offers a unique perspective of the capital and is sure to be a hit with children, thanks to the lively sights and boat ride experience.

Here, families can watch skilled Thai boxing experts in action, offering an exciting glimpse into this traditional sport.

    ▪️ After lunch, we travel southwest along the coast to our beach resort in the Hua Hin area. The journey takes approximately three hours and leads to a serene destination where families can unwind and enjoy beautiful beaches, national parks, and the calming ocean—perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities.

  • ▪️ Our base for the next three nights is a spacious, family-friendly hotel located right on the beachfront, offering stunning views of the warm waters of the Gulf of Thailand. Just a 15-minute drive from the lively Hua Hin Night Markets, the beach resort is nestled in the quieter Khao Tao Beach area, within walking distance of a charming fishing village.

    ▪️ Please note that during December and January, this area may occasionally experience periodic high tides, which could temporarily restrict access to the beach.

    ▪️ Alternatively, take the time to simply relax and soak in the beautiful scenery of the area, enjoying the tranquil beaches and the resort’s amenities.

1. Tour Cancellations by you

For any cancellation after confirmation and deposit, 10% of the total cost is applied per person the administrative fee plus other charges by hotels, airlines, and other contractors of Viet Prestige Travel.

If cancellation is made after full payment has been made, we will hold a full credit to be used for further bookings (less any charges levied by hotels, or carriers). The following rules apply for cancellations:

Cancellation Policy

▪️ Between 65 and 45 before departure: 20% of total tour cost

▪️ Between 44 and 35 days before departure: 30% of the total tour cost

▪️ Between 34 and 15 days before departure: 50% of the total tour cost

▪️ Between 14 and 7 days before departure: 80% of the total tour cost

▪️ 7 days or less before departure: 100% of total tour cost

Notes: Cancellations of Mekong Cruises and Halong Bay Cruises are different based on the cruise company’s policy, date of booking and price. Kindly get exact cancellations from our travel consultants when you make a booking with us.

2. Cancellations not by you

We are always committed to making our best effort to operate all tours as planned. However, due to factors out of our control, it may be necessary to use alternative accommodation and services in some instances. We therefore reserve the right to modify or cancel any tour, accommodation or arrangement at any time. We will notify you as soon as possible of any material changes. In the event of any material modification or cancellation we will, if possible, arrange on your behalf three alternatives:

▪️ services of an equivalent or similar standard, if available;

▪️ any of a lower standard together with a refund of the difference in price;

▪️ cancellation with a full refund of all money paid.

In unexpected cases, we have to cancel the tour no later than 30 days before the scheduled departure date, whereupon all money paid by you for the tour shall be refunded but no further compensation will be paid. You and Viet Prestige Travel agree to release each other from any further obligations that would have been enforceable had the tour not been canceled.

▪️ Children under 2 years old: Free of charge tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 10% Adult’s domestic airfare

▪️ Children from 5 to 7 years old: 50% Adult’s tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 75% Adult’s domestic airfare

▪️ Children from 7 to under 11 years old: 75% Adult’s tour price/ sharing existing bed with parents, 75% Adult’s domestic airfare

▪️ Above 11 years old: Charged as adults

Air tickets: Airline child price policy applied

Please note that some suppliers may impose additional fees for infants and children. These will be advised at the time of booking.

In order to guarantee your booking, ideally the deposit of 30% must be paid in advance. The second deposit of 50% must be paid 45 days before departure and the full balance could be paid in USD Cash on arrival. 

Payments are to be made according to our invoices only and should be executed by cash, credit card, bank transfer or Onepay. Any bank charges levied by the sending bank relating to transfers to Viet Prestige Travel must be paid by the Clients.

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance which should include cover against the cost of cancellation by you and assistance (including repatriation) in the event of accident or illness.
